If you obtain an item by using eBay you have the opportunity to check the reputation of the merchant, and are also offered good protection against bad suppliers by their commendable trading control process, If you purchase from a nornal classified advert, it is good advice to use paypal, as you are less likely to be cheated when protected by their payment system.
