Three descriptions of 'Tibetan Silver' taken off the web:-

1.  The actual silver content of "Tibetan Silver" can be as low as 1 or 2 percent and/or the core material may actually be a tin and antimony alloy, which allows it to be sold for much cheaper than the real thing.

2.  No silver was found in any of the tested items being marketed as Tibetan silver. Instead, in six samples, nickel, copper and zinc were the dominant metals identified by XRF (X-ray fluorescence) analysis on the areas of exposed core material of these pieces.

3.  Tibetan Silver has very little silver content and is mostly made up of alloys.

All of the Tibetan silver & gold that I purchase to sell are advertised as being Lead & Nickle free.
