AN INTRODUCTION TO THE WORLD’S GEMSTONES (by E H Rutland)

Published back in 1974, this is a collector's book that describes in passage detail about Gemstones, including their origin, structure and industries. Each topic contains full-colour and monochrome photographs to illustrate about gemstones themselves, including pictures of uncut gems and ornamental pieces.

On the front and back inside pages of this book are commemorations of the book's author, EH Rutland, his acknowledgements and a paragraph about his life and work.

You can learn a little about some of today's well-known gemstones including Ruby, Diamond, Peridot and Organic gemstones such as Pearl and Amber, as well as Collector's gemstones. In the end of this book is a "Data Table", listing names of popular and collector's stones along with their crystal shape systems, hardness and compositions. Also, there is a small Glossary listing terms in minerology and gemmology.
