If you buy an item by using eBay you have the opportunity to investigate the reputation of the retailer, and are protected in the event of poor performance by the supplier by their top notch buyer protection system, If you by a camera directly from a nornal classified advert, it is good advice to make payment via paypal, as there is a degree of protection there as well.
