With several cute charms including an intricate butterfly charm, it is finished in an antique silver fashion and has a few Jade beads on it. It also has a wire bracelet running through the linked chain, in order that it keeps its shape nicely.

ON OFFER IS THIS ANTIQUE OR VINTAGE JEWELLERY BOX IN MAHOGANY WITH A BIT OF INLAY (?) OR DECORATION TO THE LID AND AROUND THE KEYHOLE.  MAY JUST BE PAINTED - NOT SURE.  THE BOX IS GENERALLY IN GOOD SHAPE FOR ITS AGE.  THERE IS ONE BIT OF VENEER MISSING FROM THE BOTTOM RIGHT HAND SIDE (SEE IMAGES BELOW).  THE INTERIOR WAS A MESS SO I DID THIS MYSELF WITH A POPPY COTTON PRINT FABRIC WHICH CAME FROM AMERICA.  

THE BOX HAS AN INTERIOR LIFT OUT TRAY AS SHOWN IN THE IMAGES.

EXTERIOR SIZE IS 10 by 7 by 4 INCHES APPROXIMATELY (JUST A TAD UNDER THESE FIGURES ACTUALLY FOR ALL DIMENSIONS).

THE GREEN BAIZE FABRIC ON THE BOTTOM COULD DO WITH RE-STICKING AND PERHAPS TRIMMING AROUND THE EDGES.  THIS IS NOT MY WORK BUT IT'S BASICALLY IN GOOD SHAPE.

THE ONLY OTHER THING I WOULD SAY IS THAT THE LID COULD DO WITH A STAY OF SOME KIND ON THE INSIDE SO THE HINGES ARE NOT STRAINED WHEN IN THE OPEN POSITION.

In black, domed lid which has scroll effect design to edge, wide brass hinge and brass push button clasp in good working order.

When opened, lies flat as a display case and internally has dark blue velvet effect base which pops out if required, wide white satin effect hinge cover and matching lid lining imprinted "Walker & Hall Sheffield London" with "W&H" flag logo.

Signs of wear externally, especially to the base although this is not visible in use, discolouration internally (see photos) but a lovely authentic period piece.

Black leather effect exterior with gold coloured double edging to lid, 2 brass hinges and 2 working ornate brass clasps.

When opened it lies flat to provide a great display piece with gold coloured edging repeated to the edge of both the lid and base.  The base is in a cream coloured velvet effect with central oval shaped raised plinth to display the necklace, off white silk effect lid lining.

Minor signs of wear one would expect with a piece of this age and slight 'spotting' to velvet effect base but overall in very good condition for age.

Lovely classic piece.

24.5cm x 8.5cm x 3.5cm high to very slightly domed lid.
