Antique Royal Vienna Porcelain Jewellery Case / Casket

This is a very rare and unusual piece,to be totally honest I do not know its correct,or intended function.So I guess it's whatever you want it to be,you could use it for what ever you wish.I visualise it on a bedroom dressing table,or bath room vanity unit: it also has a very "Victorian" appearance, to my eyes and mind.But something so lovely would not go amiss wherever you placed it,a beautiful piece for those of you who like something out of the lovely, but normal and regular category.It is in beautiful condition,no cracks no chips no faults,flaws or damage.Its measurements are 8 1/2 inches long, 5 inches wide,and just under 4 inches in height.It has the very early and deeply incised bee hive stamp mark ,and is numbered 5592/1,incised.In addition the letters ESPS are incised,and in blue ink DEC.2475.The trim and fastener are silver plated.Interesting piece. Please note that I will pack this item not only post proof,but bomb proof !
